Compassion Experience & Compassion Journey with COVID-19

If you’ve registered to attend a Compassion Experience or Compassion Journey event, here is some updated information about the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States.

During this time of global concern over COVID-19, we are carefully monitoring the situation and its impact on churches and communities like yours. We are thankful for your partnership with us in releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name, and we want to keep you informed about some key decisions impacting all of us:

Compassion has suspended all travel to national offices and child development centers in an effort to do everything we can to limit any additional spread of the virus and to reduce strain on the already-taxed medical systems in the countries we serve. Nearly all events are being canceled or postponed in light of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendation to cancel or postpone events that consist of 10 or more people.

As a result, all Compassion Experience and Compassion Journey events have been cancelled through the end of April.

We will update this page with additional information as it becomes available and will begin rescheduling events as soon as it is deemed safe by national and local health authorities.

If you’d like to get involved in the meantime, here are two important steps you can take:

1. Sponsor a child in poverty and provide them with critical resources.

2. If you’re already a sponsor, write letters of encouragement to your sponsored children during this difficult time. Here are some tips!
